Since 1995

C&C Automotive Specialties is a full service shop. While we specialize in Porsche, Audi, BMW, and other European makes we also cater to post 1996 domestic and Japanese brands. So if you've got a Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, or Lexus we're your shop. Ford, GMC, Jeep, or Mopar too.

While it’s true that the maintenance intervals on today’s vehicles are spaced out more than they were even 10 years ago – it still doesn’t mean you should ignore them. If you want to get the most reliable service out of your car – you need to maintain it according to the manufactures recommendations. That means taking it to a trusted shop that will do those things necessary to keep your car on the road and in good running condition.

Don’t just depend on the warning lights on your dash! Often when they come on it’s really too late. Become familiar with the vehicle schedule which can be found in the Owner’s Manual in your glove box.

We don’t take the “Green and Go” approach

A lot of shops will only do what’s necessary to get your car in the “Green Zone”. In fact, they don’t want to get it any closer than they have to – they don’t want your adjustments to be optimal. That way, tires and components wear out quicker, and they get additional work and sales sooner.

We don’t take that approach. We’d rather do it right. We’d also rather tailor your alignment to the type of driving you do and to what your individual needs are.

For example, if you routinely drive over the Mt. Rose Highway you need a different setting from someone that drives out to Ely on Highway 80. Different types of roads and different types of driving require different alignment. For the Mt. Rose driver, you’ll want a ½ degree different camber so your tires ride flatter. You get better wear, better traction, and better service.

We use an optical/digital alignment system. We have for the past several years and were one of the first shops in the area to employ such a system. While it’s starting to become more common, most shops don’t have the expertise or experience to take advantage of what this system offers – or don’t want to.

We do.

Our base price is $110.50 for a 4 Wheel Alignment and $65 for a 2 Wheel Alignment. While that covers most cars and applications, there are times when additional things might be needed. For example, if you’ve got a Porsche 911 that’s never been aligned, there’s a couple extra steps required which will add onto the base pricing.

We’re a Tire Rack authorized dealer and installer. For all your tire needs – we’ll match you, your car, and your driving style to the proper tire.

If you’re into autocross or racing – we’ve got you covered there too with offerings from Goodyear, Avon, Hankook, and more. Give us a call for details.

Dyno & Tuning

We offer complete dyno facilities for your high performance tuning needs. We’re one of the only shops in Northern Nevada and California that has both the tools and experience to make your dyno sessions worth while. With both an engine and chassis dyno we’ve got you covered from simple power pulls to a complete tune and test session.

When you’re ready for dyno or tuning – make sure you get the background of the individual doing the work. How long have they been doing this? What educational training do they have? What practical experience do they have? It’s amazing how many shops say they’re a “tuner” when their only practical experience has been at a “Iffy Lube” or playing on a laptop – give us a call for details on what we can do for you.
